Define Problem
In daily life, these are the occasions you need to put down your mobile phone, but you always feel struggle.
Behavioral Model
When people want to put down their phones to concentrate on work or let themselves rest, they always start a tug of war. According to the Fogg behavior model: B (behavior) = M (motivation) + A (ability) + T (trigger), putting down the phone is a simple action, so A (ability) is already available, and the rest is to give the user enough M (motivation) and appropriate T (trigger) to let the user stop using their mobile phone.
In this case,
M (motivation) =Fear of being late, wasting time
A (ability)=Put down the mobile phone
T (trigger)=alert
Solution
Through the EDU game, users are motivated to put down their phones. Users can set the alarm clock and duration according to their personal needs, and the app will send a reminder at the specified time and count down. If the user stops using their mobile phone during the time, they will get rewards.
